Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel: Tour and Happy Hour
- Small group
- Skip the line
- Duration: 2.5 hours
Take a stirring journey through art and religious history with skip-the-ticket-line entry to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Avoid the long ticket lines and then enjoy your visit at your own pace. Tiptoe through the Greek Cross Gallery to see elaborately-carved sarcophagi that might just contain the earthly remains of some of antiquity's famous kings and queens! Peek at the Cabinet of the Masks, or tour the Sala degli Animali to see a virtual menagerie of fantastic beasts, real and imagined. Walk the Upper Galleries, including the Gallery of Maps, to see how cartographers depicted the world through the ages. See masterpieces by Renaissance masters in the Raphael Rooms, and rest for a while in the Borgia Apartments. Then, it’s time to marvel at Michelangelo’s exquisite Sistine Chapel, the crown jewel of the Vatican, and perhaps even of all the world’s art treasures.
Nice tour despite the amusement park-like herding of people through the museum. Guards were a bit rude to visitors. Didn't like that if you missed seeing something the guards wouldn't let you retreat to look again. The tour itself was beautiful!
Skip the ticket line and gain fast access to both the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Once inside, meet your guide who will lead you on a fascinating tour and reveal the intriguing story behind all the rooms. The guided tour has a duration of approximately 2.5 hours. At the end of the visit, all other visitors will be taken out while your group may remain in the Sistine Chapel until 6:15 PM. Marvel at Michelangelo's fresco, "The Creation of Adam" in a peaceful environment. Afterwards, end the experience in the magical Pinecone Courtyard with an Italian-style buffet consisting of finger food, drinks, and cold cuts.
Super guida ! Bravissima, simpaticissima. Sono rimasta un po delusa dall’happy hour. Mi aspettavo una formula buffet, più conviviale. Colpa al covid forse ? Raccomando però quest’esperienza. Grazie
Have the Vatican to yourself on this exclusive early morning tour that whisks you through closed doors for a buffet breakfast in the peaceful Pinecone Courtyard, 1.5 hours before anyone else enters the museums! While the general public waits in line outside, you’ll feast on an Italian-American breakfast buffet of cooked-to-order eggs, meats, cheeses, muffins, croissants, fresh fruits, cereals, and even pancakes, flipped by the Vatican's pancake chef. Dining in the beautiful Pinecone Courtyard, alongside one of the Vatican Museums' most beautiful works of modern art, experience a level of tranquility rarely seen by Vatican visitors. Then follow your guide to explore the Vatican Museums. Still closed to the general public, the Museums are quieter now than throughout the rest of the day. With only 10 people per group, you’ll have time and space to really appreciate the art. See rooms suc...
Breakfast was delicious and our guide (I apologize for not remembering her name) was amazing and so full of knowledge. It's wonderful when a guide loves the topic and makes the information easy to digest.

The tour with Chiara absolutely amazing. We had a small group. No lines at the Basilica or Museum with the 8am tour. Definitely wear good walking shoes. Our guide Chiara (when in Rome Tours) was such a great guide. Very interacting and so very knowledgeable, funny and great energy. Personalized our tour so we could get to the most important stops in an efficient manner. Made sure everyone’s needs were met along the way. She offered to take photos of each person/couple at the best spots! She was interested in each person/couple. Asked where we were going next so she could recommend activities/restaurants. Guiseppi and Maria from Florida
What an amazing tour! This was my second time at the Vatican Museum and it was breathtaking. Maria, our guide was informative, fun and engaging. The small group allowed her to give us a lot of attention and interact with each other. Three hours felt like such a short time and at the end of the tour I wandered by myself in awe of this magical place. If you want to savour the experience, this is the right way to do it.
We were amazed by the beauty of the Vatican and its secrets while at the base we are not religious practitioners and all this would not have been possible without PASQUALE our young guide who speaks perfect French and who knows the smallest legends about the Vatican! All this in the middle of a touch of humor, a passionate beritable, thank you!
Excellent historical knowledge was conveyed in a personable and understandable way. We were very satisfied and can only recommend our guide A. Schröder. Good job Sven Richter
Superb guide. Tour was a little lengthy for my liking, otherwise enlightening .
