What people are saying about Sounion

A highlight of our Athens trip was definitely Cape Sounion & the Temple of Poseidon at sunset. The tour was definitely worth it for us. The day before we were told a new meeting point where we would be picked up by car (as far as I can tell, other tour participants felt the same - could it be organized differently in advance). During the drive, the tour guide kept providing us with a lot of interesting information about the area, which we really liked. The first short stop is at Lake Vouliagmeni (10 minutes) and another stop at the beach (1.5 hours) and at a viewpoint of Cape Sounion. The stop at the beach wouldn't have been absolutely necessary for us, since we basically didn't do the tour for swimming. Poseidon Temple tickets are not included in the tour price. Overall, the tour to Cape Sounion & Poseidon Temple is recommended.

Our guide Gari was really great! Because of her relaxed nature and all the stories she told us about the Greek gods, the trip there and back was very short. The one hour swim break was fantastic. And also the Temple of Poseideon with the sunset was very impressive! I can really recommend this trip!! In the end I was even dropped off in front of my hotel, although I had to be picked up somewhere else. Everything perfect!!

My teenagers and I did this activity, they said it was the most favorite part of their trip in Greece! We went up around 6:30pm, there was lots of shade on the way up. The top was beautiful definitely worth it! We did not use the audio.

It was a very pleasant and interesting trip, the guide is very nice, always ready to help you and answer all your questions, it is clear that he is an expert in the sector

Guide explained well and detailed, schedule was on point. One of the best sunsets in Greece.
