Enjoy a full day exploring Morocco's Souss-Massa National Park on a guided birdwatching tour with lunch. See the park's incredible and diverse landscape, including grassland steppes, sand dunes, sandy beaches, and wetlands. Meet your guide at 9 AM in the reception of your hotel from where you'll head straight to the park. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a national park expert who will accompany you throughout your walking tour. Discover the wild and spectacular cliffs, farmland, coastal steppes, and forests that the park has to offer, all while keeping an eye out for the range of migrant and resident birds. The southern section of the park seems to be the preferred habitat of the endemic northern bald ibis. The varied flora of the park is the perfect spot to see a number of interesting birds, as well as other popular animals, such as the African wild cat, red fox, hedgehog, leopard lizard, and weasel. Start your journey by a pick up from your hotel in Taghazout around 8 o'clock, followed by a stop at the fisherman's village on the wild beach of Sidi R'bat, where you will have a chance to pop in to see the fishermen's caves and perhaps find some shells at the isolated beach. Then drive into a Rally way on sand dunes and sandy terrain, along the Atlantic ocean, and have a quick stop at Massa river where you will spot -if you are lucky- some migrating birds, before driving towards the walled city of Tiznit, where you will see the walls and the ramparts of the old city of Tiznit. We will have a small break in Tiznit for rest and to learn a little about the city, feel free to go for a walk in the old Medina (Old city), and browse the handmade Berber silver jewelry. After the visit to the silver city of Tiznit, We will drive towards the Atlas mountains, to enjoy a lunch of two meals (Tajine and Couscous) in a local Berber house, accompanied by a dessert of local seasonal fruits and a mint tea. After lunch, you will have your free time in small Sahara dunes to take photos and enjoy your time on sand dunes, where you will be able to snap a quick camel ride tour. (Camel ride is optional and is not included in the price). After the Small Sahara stop, we will travel to the reservoir of Youssef Ben Tachfine (water dam), while taking sights of everyday Moroccan country lifestyle, for a panoramic view from the top of the hill, before making your way back to Taghazout.

It was a really great trip. We had a great driver and the route through the national park was really great. The guide spoke perfect English and French and was able to explain everything well. We would this. Book the excursion again at any time.
