What people are saying about South Sardinia, Sardinia

One of the highlights of our trip, our guide Valeria was fantastic.

The drive to the ancient site of these cone shaped constructions of the Nuragic settlement through the undulating country side was amazing. Valeria shared her knowledge of archaeology and the love for her country and people with generous enthusiasm. It was truly awesome climbing into the the tower's ground level cave. Inside the Tholos we experienced for a contemplative moment a sense of eternity. We feel very privileged to have visited this site. Seeing the miniature horses of the Giara region was a bonus. Our visit the next day to the National Archaeological Museum at Cagliari where we could view the finds of the Nuragic civilisations' jewellery, tools, pottery, statuettes and weaving exhibits further deepened our learning experience of this truly wonderful visit.

Excellent hal-day trip to learn about ancient history of Sardegna

The tour was very well organized, and we enjoyed it very much. We were able to hear about brief overview and history about Sardegna on the way to Su Nuraxi , which gave us a good view of the land we're travelling. At the site, we were amazed by the complexity structure of the Nuraghe, as well as the level of civilization. It was certainly impressive, and the guidance given by the guide helped us to understand the background of the history as well.

Highly informative and friendly experience. Both Nora and Pula are “must see” places. Our guide (Franco) was excellent, spoke great English, was polite and happy to stop and allow us to take photo etc. Franco helped navigate us around large groups of visitors to get the best out of the day and even took us to a site in Cagliari we hadn’t seen before as an “extra”. Highly recommend this trip.

Franco was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable of the area. He went above and beyond to assist us with questions about the area even after our tour. Very conscientious of our time. Did not have us wait in long lines but knew how to take advantage of the site to use our time wisely. Highly recommend.

Franco was an excellent guide. We felt we learned a lot about the ancient cultures.
