Full description
Get a great start to your day with this early morning tour. See the best the wild has to offer, and be back at your hotel be 9:00 AM. Beginning at 5:00 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel lobby. Your hotel much be in either Yala or Tissamaharama. This compact tour is also available in the afternoons, following a similar schedule. By 6:00 AM, you will start your game drive at Bundala National Park. During this 3 hours game drive, you will be able to witness many species of birds, occasional elephants, spotted deer, sambar, hanuman langurs, toque monkeys, stripe-necked and ruddy mongooses, wild boar, golden jackals, land and water monitors and marsh crocodiles. Every species of water bird found in the country can be sighted in this national park, so keep your eyes peeled. Migrants and vagrants make the journey from as far as Siberia, learn amazing features about certain birds. Witness over 10,000 shorebirds feeding at any one time between October and March. There are light refreshments and water bottles provided during the safari.
