What people are saying about Southern Region, Iceland

My boyfriend had never been on a horse before, but the guide was so nice and took the time to make him feel comfortable. She regularly checked on him and tried to make him feel at ease. The horses themselves are incredibly calm and gentle. The ride went through beautiful lava fields and we got some great pictures. I would definitely recommend, whether you’re an experienced rider or totally new to it.

My husband and I went riding on my 40th birthday and loved every second. My husband had never ridden before and was very nervous but very soon relaxed when he met the gorgeous, friendly Icelandic horses. We loved experiencing the ‘tolt’ and couldn’t believe how smooth it was! The guides were fantastic and the surroundings breathtaking. We wish we could go again!

We thoroughly enjoyed the horse riding, the staff were so welcoming and we were well looked after. Despite never having ridden before the ride was very comfortable and with a range of different terrain including river crossings i couldn't have had more fun! Couldn't recommend it more and will be returning one day to see the ponies again.

The guides here do a good job of adjusting to the skill levels of their guests. We split into a fast and a slow group to keep everyone comfortable. Our horses were well trained and it was a really distinctive landscape to ride through. Wear boots, we ride through some shallow water and it will splash on your legs.

I was a bit nervous at first and the guides were extremely helpful and understanding. The views are amazing and the animals are kind and tamed. Beautiful experience.
