Full description
Enjoy a full-day (11-hour) tour that takes you west of London to the Georgian city of Bath and the prehistoric stone circle at Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain. En route to Stonehenge, your guide will tell you about the mysteries surrounding the prehistoric site, built in the Neolithic period by Stone Age farmers. When you arrive, you’ll head to the new visitor’s center to enjoy the state-of-the-art facilities. Travel by shuttle bus to the stones to experience the mystical atmosphere firsthand. You’ll have approximately 90 minutes at Stonehenge, leaving plenty of time for refreshments before you depart for Bath. The drive takes you through some of England’s most beautiful countryside on the way to Bath, passing the traditional villages and lush countryside of Wiltshire and Somerset and Avon. When you arrive in Bath, you’ll see the Roman Baths, once the most famous hot springs in Europe. Discover the handsome Georgian architecture of the city on a short driving tour, including the famous Royal Crescent. Your guide will recommend the best places to see, shop, and eat during the free time you have to explore the city. You’ll be back in London by around 6:30 PM and you will be able to reach all parts of London easily by London Underground.

Stonehenge is magical. We lost track of time. It's not always that you get to witness humanity's history in front of your bare eyes. Bath is the cutest little town and the Roman Bathouse is amazing. So so much food for the soul. Well worth the visit on both sites. Gareth was a great guide too!

I found the uncomplicated booking and my early departure from the group super customer-friendly and pleasant. The guide was pleasant. Sometimes a bit theatrical, but overall competent and suitable for this tour! The tour kept what it promised. Everything was great and the travel car was also very comfortable! Bravo!!

You’re really just getting transportation for this tour, but the pacing is just right to take photos at stonehenge and explore the city of bath for a few hours. DIY with public transportation is just too complicated and unreliable, so it’s worth it to cover two destinations with limited time.
