Full description
Immerse yourself in Ortigia, the historical heart of Syracuse as on this guided boat tour. Enjoy listening as your skipper tells you about geological formations and step back in time with stories and information regarding the area's rich history. Board a comfortable boat and embark on your water adventure. Glide from the bridges of Ortigia and will enter the "big port" of Syracuse where you can gaze out of the the stunning Alfeo Promenade of Ortigia. Sail outside the port to circumnavigate the entire island. Follow the coast north of Syracuse to see some naturally-formed sea caves. Cruise into the "small port" and navigate inside the Ortigia canal that divides the island from the city. Have the chance to stop and take a dip in the turquoise waters with views of the shore. Pass under the bridges to return to the starting point of the tour. Meetpoint: via senatore Giuseppe maielli 4 (infopoint Syracuse excursion)

We thoroughly enjoyed this Boat Trip. From the moment we met our hosts to the end of our Tour it was great fun throughout. You are shown all the beautiful caves and coastline,as well given a running narrative of the history and meaning behind the surrounding buildings and scenery. We give this Trip 11 out of 10.

The atmosphere on the small boat was relaxed. There were interesting facts about the island and history without being overwhelming. The little swimming break was great. The only drawback was that the stories were a bit quiet, so a seat near the tour guide is recommended^^

Beautiful experience! I tell you that I also took another similar trip with the competition, at the same price, and the contrast is striking! Those of the competition had only one kid at the helm who gave some information as best as possible - instead the Syracuse excursions have a special guide for explanations. The competition had very annoying disco "music" on board, the time for swimming was minimal, the edges of the boat were thin and slippery so no diving... And above all the young helmsman, who I had asked to take "some souvenir photos of me swimming in these beautiful waters"... instead he had the "brilliant" idea of taking some extremely embarrassing shots of me bending awkwardly going down the stairs - and only one blurry shot in the water! And I don't understand if there is or does! Instead the guide named Lucia took some amazing photos of me! In short: to hell with the competition, Syracuse excursions for life!
