Full description
Your tour begins early with your guide picking you up at 9:00AM from your hotel in Sapa. Heading north, you’re bound for the terraced rice fields carved directly into the lush mountains. As you amble through the valley, your guide will tell of the centuries-long history of the Hmong people who have been utilizing this traditional approach to farming for over 300 years. If you’re interested, you can even try your hand at harvesting some rice with a group of local farmers to get a real taste of local life. After dining on Hmong specialties at a popular local restaurant, you’ll head to the Ta Phin Valley to explore a village inhabited by the Red Dao people, who are famous for their intricate and handcrafted traditional clothing. You’ll spend the night with a local family, this priceless experience granting an unfiltered view into a rich and storied culture. After breakfast the next morning, you’re off for another day of cultural immersion and sublime vistas. You’ll walk to Trung Chai village, renowned for its panoramic views, before stopping for a picnic lunch. Walking through more picturesque rice fields, you’ll stop in Chu Lin village to discover the life and customs of a small Hmong tribe. After pausing to take in more of the serene views, you’ll head back to Sapa filled with reverence and respect for the diverse cultures of this freshly discovered region.

Ideal format to meet the inhabitants of the surrounding villages. Chuong from the organization was available to prepare our arrival on site and very welcoming. Dinh Gianh, our guide was really warm, very interesting. His English is perfectly understandable. Very relevant anecdotes. Meet the incredible Hmong women. Perfect meals. Night in a picturesque cottage, we were perfectly in the mood. Only downside, the weather which will not allow us to contemplate the landscapes at best. Despite this, incredible experience that we recommend.
