1. Tangier Highlights Private 6-Hour Tour

Explore the cosmopolitan city of Tangier on a private sightseeing tour and discover all its main attractions, from bustling markets to historic caves. 2. Tangier: City Highlights Discovery Tour

Today you will be brought face to face with the real Tangier. Start out with a peaceful drive along la Corniche, the central beach, and then visit the east side of the city. Then, its time to head inland and visit Iberia and the California residential area, which is filed with luxurious chalets and villas (a bit like California itself!). Your guide will point out the history of these locations as you are treated to some fine photo and shopping opportunities. Then, head along the coast for a tour of the mythical Hercules caves. These caves are said to have once housed the hero, and you can decide for yourself what parts of the legend to believe. After the caves, it's time to come to the real heart of Tangier, with a walking tour of the Kasbah. This 15th century fortress has been rocked by a tumultuous history, and as a crossroads of life here in Tangier, serves as a meeting grounds for people of all walks of life. The archeological museum offers a nice contrast to the packed and colorful streets. There's no shortage of people trying to sell you things, so keep a close eye for the best bargains. Afterwards, head to the fruit and vegetable market for a different kind of commerce. Here you can taste all sorts of delectable fruits and olives, and also get a good look at Mendoubia, with its 800 year old Banion Tree. There is a chance for a mint tea in the Petit Socco before returning back to our starting point.

The experience has been very good, Ahmed, the guide, an older man, knew a lot about the history of Tangier, was very willing, very friendly, spoke Spanish well, showed us many places without any hurry.

The tour was great but our tour guide Ben was ever better. He is tremendously knowledgeable on both the history of Tangiers and as a traveller himself, able to really link to other areas.

Trip was very informative. Our only negative is the guide do not understand our English questions. His English was fine.
