Full description
Travel to Rotorua from Tauranga on a seven-hour tour that’s perfect for cruise ship passengers or others interested in the area. Begin with a drive to Mount Maunganui and learn about the region from your guide.  Step back in time at Te Puia Maori Village. This village was built above geothermal land and is home to the largest geyser in the southern hemisphere. Your guide will provide details of original settlers tales, and show you through the traditional Maori Arts and Crafts school operating on the property. Visit the onsite Kiwi enclosure for your chance to see our native Kiwi bird. Head to Rotorua Lake – the second-largest lake on the North Island. Journey back to Tauranga and visit an established Kiwifruit Orchard with a sampling room and free ice cream.

The similar tour from our ship only had one spot left and so we took a gamble with this company as we really wanted the experience. Our arrival time was changed for our docking but when we contacted Stephen regarding the conflict he said they cater to the cruise ships and changed our time to accommodate. Amanda our driver, greated us with the tour van, and as the Corona Virus had been playing havoc with decreased bookings and cancellations we were the only two for the tour. Amanda gave us a wonderful experience showing us all the tour had to offer and more. The Maori Village is a cultural wonder, unique and educational. The tour around Tauronga, a stop at a kiwifruit farm, Rotorua, the giant redwoods, a stop at Mossop's Honey Shoppe and a bonus stop at McClaren Falls rounded out a glourious 8 hour excursion with our very gracious host, Amanda.

Our tour was cancelled but Stephen of ADVENTURE and CULTURAL tours organised a private tour for 2 of us and it was amazing. Stephen is very pleasant and very knowledgeable, we even got a couple of extras thrown in xx
