Full description
Delve deep into the complex history of Jerusalem and learn about its religious and cultural significance, on this stimulating tour led by a professional guide. After being collected from your hotel in Tel Aviv, drive to Mount of Olives to enjoy a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Here your guide will introduce to you some of the facts and stories behind the city. Stop at Mount Zion to visit King David's tomb, the room of the last supper and the Dormition Abbey. Enter the Old City and roam the winding Armenian and Jewish Quarters, reaching the recently excavated Cardo–the Roman Road. See the Jewish Wailing Wall and hear stories and myths connected to this landmark. Visit the Kotel, and continue on to the Christian Quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. This is a great chance to visit such a famous work of architecture. Afterwards proceed to the New City and visit Yad Vashem–the memorial to the Holocaust. Pay your respects here and spend some time reflecting. On Saturdays and Jewish holidays, instead of Yad Vashem, drive to Ein Karem, traditionally known as birthplace of John the Baptist; Enjoy a stroll in the picturesque village, stopping by Mary's spring and continue to visit the Church of Saint John the Baptist.

This tour was by minibus rather than coach. The driver was also the guide. The pick-ups took longer than we would have liked, but once we arrived, we had the benefit of small group flexibility. The guide was knowledgable and informative, his English was excellent. Overall, a really great introduction to Jerusalem.

Great and interesting tour with an experienced guide. Took us to Mount of Olives, Room of Last Supper, King David tomb, Chuch of Annunciation, Kotel, Church of Sepulcher and Yad Vashem Museum. Our guide -Yehuda - told all the history, he answered all questions. All that in a day! I can recommend this tour for religious ppl.
