Full description
Explore the very best of Tenerife on a full-day excursion that takes you on a guided tour around the island’s perimeter. First you’ll head up the west coast to the very top of the island, to Los Gigantes (giant cliffs), where you’ll take in the majestic views. Next on your itinerary will be Icod de Los Vinos, home of the enormous Dragon Tree, which is Tenerife’s most famous attraction. La Orotava, a city of architectural beauty, is the next stop, where your guide will recommend a restaurant for lunch (not included in the tour price). After lunch you’ll travel through landscapes filled with history and tradition and see some amazing Canarian architecture. Your tour around the island ends with a visit to the Basílica in Candelaria, best known for its Black Madonna. In the main square by the ocean you’ll see statues of the Guanche Menceyes, the first inhabitants of the Canaries. There will be photos stops throughout your full-day tour.

Good value for money

I booked this tour on a whim, unsure what to expect and was pleased overall. We managed to cover a huge amount of the island in one day and the guide was good. This is a good option if you don’t have a car or you are traveling solo. My only downsides - unfortunately I was only of the first pick ups so I had to be ready at a hotel 15 minutes walk from my own) at 7am. I was on the bus for two hours before the tor even began, which didn’t bother me, however may be annoying for some if you were less patient. The guide audio was also very quiet and the poor guy was very rushed and he had to speak in 4 langues! Half the time I didn’t know what he was saying because he was speaking very quickly to get it all out. Overall it was a good tour for the price and I would recommend to holiday makers.

Collecting the guests took over 2 hours. The visit to La Orotava, which was stated in the travel description, was replaced by the visit to Puerto de la Cruz. This is also a beautiful city, but we had expected La Orotava. Otherwise the tour was very nice and informative. The tour guide was very friendly and informed in four languages.

Have a good day

We had a great day touring the island by bus. The guide was very friendly and humorous and visited us in 4 different languages so that everyone could understand. The only downsides would be: The fact that we made an additional 1.5 hours of bus on the outward journey because we had to collect everyone at the stops and that we had been caught in the first; and the fact that the break time in some cities was sometimes too long or too short compared to what we had to do in the city.
