  • Get spectacular views of the coastline and mountains of Tenerife
Full description

Climb aboard for a kayaking adventure in Tenerife and get up close and personal with dolphins and turtles in their natural environment. Observe the amazing creatures from a vessel that does not frighten them or disturb their natural habitat.

Be surrounded by pods of up to 30 dolphins that sometimes put on a show by jumping high into the air. Home to up to 5 different species of dolphins, including bottlenose dolphins, the waters just off the island’s coast are ideal to marvel at these lovable creatures.

While the bottlenose dolphins are the easiest to spot, other species inhabit the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, including rough-toothed dolphins, striped dolphins, and common dolphins.

As wild animals, views cannot be guaranteed, but there is a 95% chance that you will encounter the animals on your trip. Get an optional swimming break and snorkel with turtles and bull rays in a bay only accessible by kayak as a bonus.

Usually, within a few minutes, curious turtles arrive and get very close, swimming around and in between you. Also, bull rays regularly glide elegantly along the sea bed underneath you.

Fantastic experience, we saw one turtle which was unreal to see. The actual kayak out to the snorkel spot was a long paddle but no issues if you are pretty fit and able. The only thing I found was that our actual snorkel session wasn’t long. However, this didn’t ruin anything and it was a magic experience. Our guide Ana was brilliant, enthusiastic and engaging. Would 10/10 recommend.

Super nice staff and great experience overall. It starts with a quick lesson on how to use the paddle and how to move the kayake in the water. Followed by a quick walk to reach the beach and then you go. I would divide the experience in 3 phases. The first one where the group stops to try to spot dolphins, in our case in this first try we didn't see any, then we move a little bit forward to the snorkling area where we got to swim with turtles and fishes. On the way back we once again stopped in the same spot, but this time with better luck, not only we saw dolphins near us we even had a dolphin passing under us twice!

The experience was good, the guide tried to be aware and explain. The only thing that where he put the anchor was somewhat away from where the turtle was, only those who were physically well could see it. I recommend it but for people who have resistance, we were like 3 hours in the sea.
