Explore the diverse geography and geology of Tenerife on a full-day tour to 4 distinct landscapes around the island’s tallest mountain. Following a pick-up from your hotel, transfer to the National Heritage Site of Mt. Teide and the Teide National Park. Enjoy breathtaking views of the island’s west coast. Travel through local villages, such as Vilaflor, and see magnificent pine forests before going to the plateau of the volcano. Marvel at the lunar landscape that has been used as the location for films such as “Planet of the Apes” and “Clash of the Titans.” Drive through the Orotava Valley to Icod Los Vinos, famous for its wines. See the legendary drago tree, known for its mystical powers. Stop for a Canarian lunch (own expense), before transferring to Garachico, a local town destroyed by the volcanic eruption of 1706. Next, experience the magic of Masca, and enjoy fabulous views of La Gomera. With only around 120 inhabitants, Masca was the traditional hideout for pirates and their contraband stolen from the ships from La Gomera. Pass the giant cliffs of Los Gigantes before the transfer back to your hotel.

The visit was very well organized. The bus was on time and the driver drove very well on difficult roads in Masca village. The guide was very good and translated into all languages. We would have liked to have been able to stay more time at the national park, free time to take the cable car to Teide for those who wish would have been appreciated.

The sites are beautiful. I loved every part of this trip especially Masca. The guide was very knowledgeable and it was overall a great day. Only minus point was it was very hot outside but the aircon in the bus was up extremely high so I felt cold and ended up feeling a bit ill afterwards.

The tour was great, the guide gave us a lot of exciting information, so we learned a lot about the island. Unfortunately the time on Teide was only 1 hour. On the other hand, there would be a long lunch break in Icod de los Vinos, which in our opinion could have been used better on the Teide, for example to walk the circular route around the Roque de Garcia. The visit to Masca was well worth seeing, but the drive back was a real adventure through the narrow streets. Recommended to see a lot and take photos, it covers a lot. There are also opportunities for free viewing.
