Full description
Enjoy a serene evening with nature on this scenic tour and sunset picnic on an Amish farm in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Before the picnic, take a map and explore the 15-acre farm and visit the animals. Ride along with a guide to the farm where you’ll enjoy food, fun, and conversation as the sun sets. Meet at the farm and explore the 15 acres to work up an appetite. See the farm animals and try out the scooters. Visit the covered bridge and school. Next, get picked up by your driver-guide at the front of our farmhouse. Jump aboard a mini-bus and enjoy a drive through the scenic backroads. Keep your cameras ready as you pass Amish homes, farms, and schools. Arrive at the Amish house for a lovely picnic dinner in the backyard and great conversation with new friends. Have a meal with all the fixings (grilled chicken, barbeque potatoes, coleslaw, assortment of salads, dinner rolls and butter, lemonade, and water). Enjoy the miles of countryside in every direction and beautiful flower and vegetable gardens surrounding your table. Afterward, enjoy a craft activity lead by the Amish children. The Amish are known to be skilled craftspeople and this family is no exception. Take home your beautiful masterpiece to remember your experience. Grab some homemade pie and ice cream and take a seat. Enjoy a conversation with others who love to sit around and chat. Learn about the farmhouse originally built in 1803 and the Amish family that lives there. After your belly is full and you’ve had great conversations, get back on the mini-bus and make your way back to the 15-acre farm where you started.
