Your stay in Luxor would not quite be the same without a bird’s eye view of the city from a hot air balloons. After convenient, pre-dawn pickup from your Luxor hotel or cruise ship, cross the River Nile to the West Bank – where your hot air balloon awaits. After a safety briefing and introduction to your ground crew and pilot, you will climb into the balloon's basket and get ready for lift off.  Then it’s time for takeoff. Away from the daytime crowds, you will drift peacefully over the west Bank of Luxor and sights such as the monuments of Thebes. As the early morning sun rises over the East Bank, the city and the surrounding mountains will be illuminated in stunning golden hues. Your driver will pick you up at 7:00AM for the roughly 2-hour drive to El Ein Sohkna on the Red Sea. Following your 120-kilometer commute, you can swim, relax, and enjoy a sunny day at the beach. You will have a room for the day at the beachfront hotel, and lunch is included at the hotel restaurant (which can also be served at the beach upon your request). Whilst at the beach you will be able to enjoy bottled water and snacks, and following your 4:00PM checkout, your driver will transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo.

Day 1 Meet your Egyptologist guide at your Aswan hotel and begin your adventure with a visit to the Aswan High Dam. Next, hop on a motor boat to get to Philae Island. Your River Nile experience begins with pickup from your hotel within Cairo City, then heads to Maadi where your traditional felucca boat awaits you. Find your seats aboard the boat and sit back and relax as you leave the marina and start your trip along the world-famous River Nile. Spend a delightful 2-hours cruising along the river, admiring incredible views of the surrounding landscapes and locals going about their day. As you watch the scenes unfold along the river, learn about how Old Cairo has adapted to modern times, and how traditions and culture have developed here. While you sail, enjoy a delicious and authentic Egyptian meal, bursting with colorful flavors that represent the local way of life. There are 3 options available for the trip, the breakfast option which runs from 10am to 12pm, the lunch option which runs from 12pm to 4pm, and the dinner option which runs from 6pm to 8pm. During the breakfast cruise, dine on traditional ful stew, falafel, feteer, honey, cheese, tomato, salad, and soft drinks. On the lunch and dinner cruises, guests are served a selection of meat samosas, meat and vegetable tagine, tahini, salads, grilled chicken, kofta, and more, as well as a sweet dessert and soft drinks.

Enjoy a scenic cruise on the Nile River from Luxor. Head toward the Dendera Temple Complex and take a tour of the Temple of Goddess Hathor, one of the most well-preserved temples in Egypt. On board, you can enjoy a buffet lunch and a coffee break, and make use of the spacious facilities. After arriving at the meeting point, board the Lotus ship. Originally built in Cairo in 1989, it was renovated in 2022 and includes an onboard bar, disco, changing rooms, swimming pool, and restaurant. Make yourself comfortable before setting sail toward the Dendera. Take in the sights along the river, including Luxor's historic monuments and the surrounding scenery. Lunch will be served on the way to the Dendera Temple Complex. Upon arrival, take a guided tour of the Temple of Goddess Hathor and learn more about its history.
