Learn to prepare an authentic Japanese meal in an apartment in central Tokyo. Roll up your sleeves as you enter your host's kitchen to make dishes based on traditional family recipes from miso soup to nikujaga and chirashi sushi. Get an introduction to the essential ingredients of Japanese cuisine like dashi, miso and mirin and prepare a meal that will be served on beautiful, Japanese dishes. What a wonderful day!

It was an amazing experience and the host, Makiko, was really kind. As I told her I was crazy about eggplant she prepared a menu based on it. Also we add extraordinary talk about our different cultures while having lunch and tea. I defenetly recommend it to all cooking lovers who wan’t to meet local people.

Beautiful moment

Superb welcome and lessons from Chef Sato in his apartment in Tokyo. Fresh products and direct from family production. Miso from a recipe from Sato's grandmother. We made delicious gyozas, we thought we couldn't do it, but thanks to the chef's advice, we succeeded. Superb moment of exchange on our respective countries during the meal. To (absolutely) do.

Super expérience avec Sato san. On a appris à cuisiner des ramens et gyozas. Comme je suis végétarienne, il a adapté les recettes et c’était réussi. Ça avait beaucoup de goût. Pour être honnête, nous avons trouvé que c’était le meilleur ramen et les meilleurs gyozas qu’on a jamais mangés. Et ça fait un an qu’on est au Japon et on a essayé une multitude de restaurants, c’est dire ! Sato san est cool, il nous a mis à l’aise, il nous a expliqué chaque plat, chaque ingrédient... on n’a pas vu le temps passer. Son appart fait aussi parti de l’expérience : petit mais tellement bien organisé. Tout était super bien préparé, y’a vraiment rien à redire. Allez y sans hésiter. D’ailleurs nous allons retourner le voir pour apprendre d’autres plats japonais. Juste un petit conseil : prenez des notes parce que les recettes fournies manquent un peu de détail.
