  • Toledo Your Own Way

    1. Toledo Your Own Way

Visit the historical city of Toledo on a 5-hour trip from Madrid. The city itself is like an immense museum that’s home to some of Spain’s top monuments. Known as the City of 3 Cultures, as for an extended period Christian, Islamic and Jewish residents lived together peacefully within its walls. The city is listed as a National Monument, and a UNESCO World Heritage City. Wander through the narrow streets and alleys to explore the city’s culture and history on a guided tour. Admire the Gothic and Renaissance architecture, along with the well-preserved monuments. If you prefer to discover places your own, you can visit the city at your leisure to discover its monuments and historic neighborhoods without a guide.

The reservation was easy, everything is very simple and clear. There were two tour guides, one for spanish and one for english groups. You have a lot of free time and you can do whatever you want.

Great all day tour. My only negative comment is that we didn't stop in Toledo for a bathroom so it was uncomfortable ...please give a better break for bathrooms! and water!

  • Madrid: Toledo and El Escorial Full-Day Coach Tour

    3. Madrid: Toledo and El Escorial Full-Day Coach Tour

Begin your tour in El Escorial. This was the symbol of the Spanish power in the 16th-century and commemorates the battle of St. Quentin. It is also mausoleum for Charles V. Due to the symmetry and balance of its construction, according to the humanist Renaissance style, for years it had been considered for years the eighth wonder of the world. Explore Habsburg Palace, the Kings and Princes Mausoleum, the Chapter House, and the Basilica. Next, 9 kilometers away from El Escorial, discover an enormous monument built between 1940 and 1959 to honor the fallen during the Spanish Civil War.  The basilica is carved into the mountain at 1,350 meters where an impressive 150 meters high cross places itself over the magnificent landscape of Madrid’s mountain range. Discover the City of the Three Cultures, 70 kilometers from Madrid. Toledo is a beautiful city-museum and a UNESCO World Heritage Site...

The tour was in Spanish and English. First part of the day Escorial, one hour break and Tolido in the afternoon. I didn't like the shopping stop (isolated store with very expencive items) at the end of the day for about 1 hour, which was not mentioned anywhere.

The city is beautiful, if you plan to make a short visit, check the places to visit, the time is short and the streets are steep, which makes the trip slower

Well organized! To return at 13:00 It is a short time to get to know the city, as only in the Cathedral you will spend about 2 hours inside.

Loved this tour. Affordable and enough time to see as much as possible. The 45 minute tour guide was very informative.

The walk was very nice, everything I knew and the excellent guide. Point against the bus had no air conditioning.

The guide was great. She covered the main points and we had time to exercise explore the area after ourselves.
