Full description

Take a tour of the timeless Tower of London – part of British history since the 11th century. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was built in 1086 by William the Conqueror.  Discover London’s castle – a secure fortress, royal palace, and infamous prison. Spot the ravens that live on the premises and find out why they are known as the guardians of the Tower.

Stroll across Tower Green to see where many executions took place, including those of 2 of Henry VIII's wives. You will also have access to the inside of the tower. Prepare to be dazzled by the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom. These priceless symbols of the British Monarchy compose the greatest working collection of crown jewels in the world.

Pore over the 23,578 gems, including the glistening Imperial State Crown - this piece alone has 2,868 diamonds, 273 pearls, 17 sapphires, 11 emeralds, and 5 rubies. Gain valuable insights into the Towers History from some of its most famous residents, The Yeoman Body. Get there early!!!! The Tower opens at 10, but there was already a huge line when my husband and I got there around 9:40. It moves quickly once they open. Also, go see the Crown Jewels FIRST, the line for them even an hour later is HUGE. Plan for at least 4-5 hours there. There’s just so much to see, and it gets crowded, so some things take longer to see. There’s a few bathrooms and there’s a cute cafe with hot and cold food and desserts. There’s also a river boardwalk with benches you can relax on after the tour. Right when you exit there’s a great photo op of the Tower Bridge.

Traveling with our 10 year old grandchild to London and Paris makes visiting the different sites so much easier not having to wait in line to buy tickets. We waited in line for you time to be available, but not in line to buy tickets. Just makes everything a bit easier. So worth using this site!

An absolutely wonderful, interesting visit to The Tower spent most of our day wondering around soaking up all of the history. Started anti-clockwise walking through each and every battlement and tower. On the ground walking in a similar fashion to capture each and every element of being there. Just great!
