Arctic Circle Adventure - Full Day Tour

1. Arctic Circle Adventure - Full Day Tour

Throughout history adventurers have been drawn to the extreme reaches of our planet. On this extraordinary day trip, you will have the chance to walk in the footsteps of explorers before you as you cross the Arctic Circle and enjoy stunning views of Alaska as you've never seen it before. The day begins at 8:00 AM from your hotel, where you will be transported to the Trans-Alaska-Pipeline. Here you can glance one of the world's largest pipelines, which stretches over 800 miles (1,287 km). It is a crude oil pipeline privately owned by the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, and here you will learn the engineering and building process of this epic land-crawling beast. After a short visit to the pipeline, stop for breakfast at a rustic truck stop sitting atop a lovely hilltop. After the meal, you'll cross the mighty Yukon River before arriving at Finger Mountain. Here you will enjoy a beautiful hike on a spectacular high plateau far above the tree line. Finally, arrive at the Arctic Circle. Here you will have your picture taken and receive your very own Arctic Circle Certificate. After some time in this lovely land, venture back across the Yukon River, where you'll have the chance to walk right up to its mighty banks. Have a nice dinner before checking out the Joy Alaska Arctic Circle Trading Post. You will arrive back in Fairbanks around 10:00 PM.

From Fairbanks: Yukon Northern Lights Full-Day Trip

2. From Fairbanks: Yukon Northern Lights Full-Day Trip

Alaska is a land of constant change. On this full day tour, you will have the chance to experience some of the best and most unique things that make your Alaska trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Beginning at 1 PM, get picked up from your hotel and venture up to the Arctic Circle (66.5622°) north of the Equator, where you can have your pictures taken and receive a "Cross the Circle-Certificate." It is here that explorers have been venturing for centuries, drawn by the power the planet has to offer. As you continue your day, pass the Trans-Alaska-Pipeline. Here you can glance one of the world's largest pipelines, which stretches over 800 miles (1,287km). It is a crude oil pipeline privately owned by the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, and here you will learn the engineering and building process of this epic land-crawling beast. Judge for yourself its impact on the landscape around it. After the pipeline, head straight for the banks of the mighty Yukon River. Walk right up to the edge of its banks, where you will gaze out over the beauty in front of you. From here, head to the high plateau of Finger Mountain, where you will hopefully see moose, fox, bears, and perhaps even a mysterious lynx if you're lucky! Up on the mountain, snack on sandwiches, sweets and hot drinks. Through the night, travel back to Fairbanks. Soon, if we're lucky, the Aurora Borealis appears. This natural light display is caused by the collision of energetic charged particles with atoms high in the atmosphere. The result is a breathtaking display of light that can be bright enough to read a newspaper by! Drive through the night, gazing up at the spectacular Northern Lights, before arriving back in Fairbanks around 3 AM.

Justin was an absolutely awesome tour guide, very friendly, courteous & knowledgeable about the history of the the Dalton Highway, Arctic Circle & surrounding area. This tour is an awesome way to see this part of the state for those that have a sense of adventure and the time to do so, as this tour takes about 14 hours up to the Arctic Circle and back from Fairbanks, but the memories you make are absolutely worth & the views are beautiful!! As someone that has lived in Alaska the past 9 years I highly recommend it!! Thank you for a great day & tour!!

Our guide Justin was great. Very knowledgeable. Good driver. Unfortunately, we only saw one red fox during our trip, but the weather was a factor. It was rainy and drizzly. Dalton Highway was muddy and had a billion potholes but Justin got us to the Artic Circle and back all safe and sound.

Very fun!! Our driver, Paul, gave us lots of history and funny stories down and back. Dalton Highway is no joke, so if you get motion sickness bring something for it! And get something from the Yukon Base camp. I didn't see Arctic Circle souvenirs from anywhere else but there.

14 hours in a tour van with strangers but it was the most amazing experience when you have the best tour guide! Josh is very informative, considerate, knowledgeable, know how to take pictures and a very good and safe driver thru Dalton Hwy in a snowy dark night!

Our captain Mr.Paul was so friendly and gave very information throughout our trip. He was making sure we all were good
