Benefit from pick-up at your hotel at 8:30 AM, and then head to your first stop at a Batuan traditional Balinese house, located 15 kilometers from Denpasar, in the Gianyar regency. You will visit one of the houses where the local people live in and spend their daily life every day. The form of this compound is typical of Balinese architecture — it comprises of several buildings, with the east building being used to make offerings, and the south building used as a kitchen. The west building is commonly used for the parent’s room, and the north building is the children rooms, or used as the place of the offerings. However, Hindu people in Bali build their family temple in the northeast area of the house, and they make offerings there everyday. You then journey to the rice fields of Ubud. Located at Tegallalang, the area is famous for its beautiful scenery of rice paddies and the traditional subak irrigation system. Get a stunning view of the rice terraces on the slopes of the hills across the valley, and enjoy the cool and breezy climate. At approximately 11:30 AM, visit a coffee plantation to learn about the famous luwak coffee, made from the beans of coffee berries part digested by Asian palm and other civets.
