Udaipur, once called the most romantic spot in all of India, is the city of Lakes. This tour covers the most important sites of the city, and ends with a serene sunset at Lake Pichola. Several locations were made famous in the the James Bond movie, Octopussy, filmed here in 1982.  Start your tour at Sajjangarh or the Monsoon Palace, an old dilapidated hunting lodge, perched atop a hillside. It offers fantastic views of the countryside, the Aravalli hills, and Fatehsagar Lake, the next stop on this tour. Step into the Maharaja’s lifestyle at Udaipur City Palace (Rajasthan’s largest palace). Some of these buildings date back 400 years. City Palace Museum has opulently decorated rooms, filled with artifacts and miniatures. Spend approximately two hours here, before heading to the Jagdish temple. Built in 1651, this serene marble temple with stone carvings is dedicated to an avatar of Lord Vishnu. Stop for lunch at a restaurant of your choice, or ask your guide for recommendations (lunch at own expense). Take a relaxing stroll around the lotus pools and fountains at Saheliyon ki Bari. As the day comes to an end, watch the sunset from Lake Pichola. The evening light makes for perfect photo opportunities. You can also choose an optional boat ride for a pleasant end to your full day tour. At the end of the activity, your driver will drop you back to either your hotel, the airport, or railway station in Udaipur.

Marvel at over 200 feet of hand-carved treasures that were submerged for nearly a century, before being recently restored. Spot intricate carvings of dancing elephants, medieval lions, and cows. Then, head to Mehrangarh Fort, one of Jodhpur's main attractions, including the Sheesh Mahal mirror palace, the Phool Mahal flower palace, and the Moti Mahal pearl palace, showcasing the rich history and cultural heritage of Jodphur. Explore the fort with your guide for 2 hours. Next, visit Pachetia Hill for the best viewpoint of Old City and Blue City, especially during sunrise and sunset. During your tour, pass the Clock Tower Market for a feel of the traditions of Jodphur. Be taken back to your hotel at the end of the tour having gained a good overview of the city.

After being picked up from either your centrally located hotel in Udaipur or the railway or bus station in the morning, you will depart for Jodhpur. First, you will visit the Kumbhalgarh Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will learn the history of the fort while enjoying its mesmerizing views. Afterwards you will go to the Jain Temple in Ranakpur. It is believed that the temple was built in the 15th century under the direction of Seth Dharna Shah, who was a follower of Jainism and a businessman by profession. He constructed the temple with the help of Rana Kumbha, the king of Mewar whose condition for help was that the temple be named after him. There are four entrances to reach the main chamber where the idol of Adinath is placed. There are also five pillars in the temple and each holds idols of various Tirthankaras. The biggest pillar that stands in the center holds an idol of Adinath. When the tour concludes, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Jodhpur, where your tour will conclude. Note. Travel back in time to an era of royal grace and heritage with a curated bouquet of activities at Fateh Garh, one of Udaipur’s most intimate luxury hotels. Round off the evening by partaking of a splendid high tea at the Fateh Garh skywalk, a suspended platform, which overlooks the rolling hills of the Aravallis, neighboring fields, and Bujara Village.

Your guide will meet you at your tour meeting point, from where you will be taken to your first attraction of Aravali Vatika. There you will explore its three-layer landscaped garden, which contains a small artificial lake. Following that you will advance towards Pearl Hill, which overlooks the Fateh Sagar Lake and is the memorial of the Rajput hero Maharana Pratap. You'll then visit the Hall of Heroes, which contains 20 large paintings on Mewar history and models of Chittorgarh and the Haldighati battlefield. Towards the latter end of your experience, you'll go to Sunset Point, the Fateh Sagar Garden, Circuit House, and Guru Gobind Singh Park. Your tour will eventually culminate with the Moteshwar Mahadev Temple and Fateh Sagar Paal, including the kilometer-long Fateh Sagar Lake which is one of the most beautiful places to watch the sunset.

Be greeted by your driver at your accommodation in Udaipur by your guide. Head off for the city palace of Udaipur. Spend 3 hours on a guided tour around the palace complex, built over a period of nearly 400 years with contributions from several rulers of the Mewar dynasty. Visit the famous Jagdish Temple, a large Hindu temple in the middle of Udaipur in Rajasthan, just outside the royal palace. It has been in continuous worship since 1651.  After the guided tour, head to Lake Pichola to join a shared boat tour (self-guided) on the artificial lake., named after the nearby Picholi village, and how it is one of several contiguous lakes developed over the last few centuries in and around Udaipur. Then, relax on your drive back to your accommodation in Udaipur.
