Full description
Leave the crowds that are cramming into St. Mark's Square and over the Rialto, and enjoy a more unexpected, authentic 2-hour tour of Venice with your own personal guide that's far from the tourist scrum. Explore the typical neighborhoods of Castello and Cannaregio to see the medieval remains of Marco Polo’s former home. Enjoy fantastic views over the Grand Canal from the Taverna Campiello del Remer, and discover the hidden Renaissance church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli. In Campo San Zanipolo, admire the statue of the great military commander, Colleoni, the façade of the Scuola di San Marco, and the church of San Zanipolo, the largest church in Venice, once known as a Venetian Pantheon for its 25 tombs of the doges. Best of all, discover some of the best bacaros (bars) to experience the city’s unique "cicchetti" (small tapas-style snacks), along with a glass of spritz.
