Full description

Climb aboard a gran turismo boat for a half-day tour of the islands of the Venetian Lagoon. Your excursion starts from the waterfront of St. Mark’s, and circumnavigates the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore and the Lido. Continue to the enchanting islands of Murano, Burano, and Torcello in the heart of the northern lagoon, and discover a more authentic side to Venice. After sailing past San Giorgio Maggiore, the public gardens, and the tip of Sant'Elena, arrive at Murano, known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Enjoy a 75-minute visit to one of the glass factories. Next, go to the picturesque island of Burano, famous for its lace and fishermen's houses painted in bright colors. Disembark the boat for a 75-minute stroll along the side of canals, before traveling on to Torcello. Here, you will be at the site of the earliest center of civilization in the estuary. The cathedral, with its magnificent mosaics, and the church of Santa Fosca remain as testimony of its former glory.

Getting an audio tour of the places that were along the journey to Murano, Burano and Torcello was wonderful to receive. My only complaint is that there was not enough time lol. It would have been nice to have had a bit longer time on Murano as the time it takes to watch the glass show takes at least 15 minutes from the tour and the another 10 maybe in the shop that's already 30 minutes gone and you haven't seen outside yet. So just a bit more time on Murano.

The team was friendly and well organized. The boat was neat. The guide was great and explained everything in different languages (including German). The times were correct, we always started on time. The line to register is very long, be there 20 minutes beforehand. Glass blowing tour in Murano very interesting. A woman explained something about it in different languages (also in English). Time on the islands was sufficient to get a first impression. Torcello didn't have that much to offer in our opinion. Several restaurants, but by that time we had already eaten. Better more time on the other two islands.

Very good outing to discover the islands and lagoons. The trip to Murano was a bit short, but sufficient, very nice demonstration of glass blowing (about 10 minutes). Burano is superb, we had time to eat and walk there without being pressed for time. I advise you to go there in good weather, the gray weather makes you lose a little of the "magic" of this island. Torcello is the least beautiful of the islands, there is not much to do or see. The trip on the lagoon was superb, especially since the weather was quite nice. Translation in English, Italian, French and German. Top value for money!
