Full description
Enjoy an intimate, half-day food and culture tour of Venice, and see the major sights of “La Serenissima,” as well as some hidden treasures along the way. Visit osterias, trattorias, pastry shops and wine bars to sample the typical fare of the Veneto. Meet your guide close to the Rialto Bridge, and stroll through a market overflowing with fish, fruit and vegetables of every shape and color. Cross the Rialto Bridge to an interesting 18th-century osteria famous for its cicchetti (tapas-like snacks unique to Venice). Drink a toast of regional wines and prosecco, and savor bite-sized morsels bursting with regional flavors. Continue to the Campo San Bartolomeo to see Marco Polo’s house and the haunts of Casanova. Pass beautiful churches and hear wonderful trivia, such as the origins of the Bellini cocktail. Go to the Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo to enjoy an authentic tiramisu with coffee, and experience a Venetian specialty where the Italian coffee culture was born. As you search for olives, pillows of polenta, and mouthwateringly marinated seafood, your guide will provide suggestions on excursions for the rest of your time in Venice. Went to Venice for my sisters hen and decided to book this tour. At first we were worried as we were being shown a fish market and garbage disposal site which both smelled, however once we got past that point the tour was lovely. Vanessa the guide was amazing, accommodating and so friendly, she also helped with directions and recommendations for our activities after the tour. We tried one of the best moscatos we’ve ever had, the various food tastings were interesting (some tasted better than others) and we still had a final sit down meal and dessert on top of all of it. It was a highlight of our trip! Just make sure to wear very comfortable shoes as sandals are not made for a 4 hour walk!

This tour with my significant other was literally 2 years ago. We still talk about how amazing the instructor, food, wine and history was. This memory was precious. The food/wine quality was incredible and so was the amount they gave us. We were not only extremely full and a bit tipsy. We loved the culture. I really wish I remembered the man's name. He was phenomenal. Made Italy feel like a dream. Thank you!

A great tour for those of you who want to get some interesting historical background about Venice while eating and drinking. What a great combination. We enjoyed it very much, our guide Alice was absolutely amazing, we could continue the entire day with her. She was fun, super knowledgeable and the places she took us to were delicious. Come hungry! The quantity of food was insane.
