Soon you will reach Riomaggiore, a beautiful village of the Cinque Terre, characterized by medieval coloured tower-houses, steps, alleys and small squares, between two steep terraces.  From here, you will take a train to Manarola, the small village of the Cinque Terre in the gorge of a high promontory among vines, olive trees and fragrant Mediterranean maquis. The next small village in the Cinque Terre lies in the gorge of a high promontory among vines and olive trees. You continue onward and reach Vernazza, one of the most beautiful hamlets in Italy, a jewel perched on a rocky promontory which stretches out towards the sea with a small port against green hills. Admire the houses from the beach with the colours tarnished by salt and disappear among the lanes with dozens of shops. Indulge in the seafood cuisine served in a traditional Italian restaurant. Next admire the beauty of the Cinque Terra from the sea in a boat along the stretch of water between Vernazza and Portovenere. Then, at the tour’s conclusion, admire the medieval sculptures of the Collegiate of San Lorenzo (1130) and the imposing Castello Doria overlooking the hamlet. There is a lot to see in this area and we wished we had had more time. Alessandro, our guide, was very good in covering as much as possible and pointing out the places we should see. Most of the areas can only be reached on foot. Portovenere is beautiful, as well as the two towns we visited in Cinque Terre. Alessandro found us an excellent restaurant for lunch and it was a very enjoyable day.

This was an ideal way to see Cinque Terre in a day—our guide was knowledgeable and offered great recommendations to personalize for our family. We appreciated that the transportation was spotless and comfortable for the 2 hour trip from Florence. Highly recommend and would book other private tours through the service.

James and Irina were awesome. They went above and beyond for us to have a great experience. They even surprised us with a mini photoshoot at Pisa for our anniversary. Would absolutely do another tour with them again in Italy.

The guide we hap was very nice and professional. He explain in detail to us everything we need to know and he speak perfect English. We are very thankful to have you as our guide. Thank you Lorenzo for the wonderful trip.

Irina is very friendly and connects easily. Most important, she is very punctual and accommodating to our needs. She has no problem sharing her knowledge with us.
