Full description
Join a bike tour to see Verona, considered the most romantic Italian city thanks to the fascination of one of the most important of Shakespeare’s plays, Romeo and Juliet. As you cycle, imagine the beautiful history and fiction of this city. Reach Piazza Bra, the largest piazza in all of Verona. See the Verona Arena, a Roman amphitheater built around 30 A.D. Cycle through Piazza Erbe and its open-air market, Piazzale Castel San Pietro and the beautiful San Zeno basilica. From Brà Molinari, enjoy an amazing view of the city's river and hills. After stopping in front of the Duomo and crossing the ancient Roman arch bridge Ponte Pietra, prepare your legs: you'll leave your bikes for a little while to climb up to Castel San Pietro by a panoramic staircase. Climb 231 steps to a viewpoint of Verona's skyline. Rest assured: you will be highly rewarded for your small effort by the spectacular ruins of the Roman Theatre and by a breathtaking view of Verona. Halfway up the panoramic stairway, you'll also stop to admire the view of the Roman Theatre ruins.

Great tour, can be recommended! However, GetyourGide announced the tour with e-bikes, which were not available on site. That wasn't a problem in principle, but the guide told us that the tour hasn't taken place with e-bikes for more than 2 years, but GetyourGuide just can't manage to change that in its description on the platform... Still : You can easily complete the tour without an e-bike.

We had actually booked an E-Bike tour, but were contacted by the supplier that the trip took place on regular bikes. It is an easy bike route and it is easy to get around by bike. The most difficult thing was to find a parking space nearby, so set aside plenty of time to park if you come by car. Otherwise it was a good trip with many nice references and stories. We can around most of the main sights in the city center.

It was a nice tour, a good start to get to know Verona. The guide, Cecilia, knew a lot of details about the history of Verona and beautiful places you would normally never visit! An E-Bike is very pleasant in this hilly area. The 3 hours were over in no time!
