The Church was beautiful. The musicians were very good. Neither of us know much about classical music, but felt we should go to a concert while in Vienna. The concert was very informal, no need to dress up, and we both found the music very relaxing. We did find the Church difficult to find, but got there in the end!

The music was great. The seating is a bit narrow if you sit in the traditional church seating. I would recommend sitting on the side with proper chairs. That made us a bit antsy by the end of the performance. The church is beautiful and the acoustics are impressive. Well worth it for an hour and a few minutes and the price. The church was also close to our hotel so we could walk in a few minutes. That was convenient.

I went to the Thursday concert, which is a programme of two string quartets by Schubert and Beethoven. The highlight was the use of period instruments which was a refreshing experience for the ears, and the acoustic of the church is good with not too much reverb. The players were all very skilled and passionate in their music-making. Tickets are on the expensive side in my opinion but on the other hand I have been hard-pressed to find cheaper concerts in Vienna. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Stephansplatz/Karlsplatz area.
