This is a magnificent part of the Hofburg Palace where the royal treasures are kept. These are very high quality jewelry and sculptures that show the great wealth of the kingdom. You should take the digital guide - you should include at the entrance price so that each visitor gets the guidance. Without training the tour is less exhaustive.

Wonderful tour. Amazing collection of items from 1200’s to late 1800’s, swords, coronation robes, jewelry, and the Imperial jewels. The cross and orb were on display and amazing. The crown was out for analysis but there was a very informative video with up close pictures and a very through analysis of the various parts. Surprising was the extensive ecclesiastical collection of church artifacts. The Hapsburgs had many beautiful items such as crucifixes and reliquaries. Well worth the visit. Allow 60-90 minutes.

The exhibit is well curated, with wonderful descriptions of the treasures, what role they played with the various royal houses, and placed them into historical and social context. The lighting highlights the fine designs and details, and there is a natural flow through the exhibit.
