Spend 3 hours touring Vienna’s beautiful buildings and neighborhoods. Begin your day in the quaint artisans’ quarters, full of hidden courtyards, narrow alleys, and handsome churches. Hear all about the city's development as your guide leads you to secret spots along your walk. Visit the Romanesque and Gothic St. Stephen’s Cathedral, at the heart of Vienna for more than 550 years. Check out the shopping districts Graben and Kohlmarkt as you stroll down lively pedestrian streets, too. Next, see a different side to the city in the neighborhood of Hofburg Palace. Learn the history of how Hapsburg nobility desired to be at the center of Austro-Hungarian power via the outstanding architecture of the Heldenplatz. The tour ends with a visit to the buildings of Golden Mile. See City Hall, the Parliament, the Fine Art Museum, and the opera house of the Vienna State Opera.

It was just great!

The whole family really enjoyed the tour, our guide Andrea met us at our hotel and from that point till the end of the tour the time just flied away. The children had a great time and we learnt tons of facts and had really interesting conversations about Vienna and Austria. It was overall an excellent experience and we gladly recommend it without a doubt.

A very detailed and highly enjoyable tour of Vienna.

Our guide Andrea was lovely and she told us so many interesting things about Vienna relating to its history, architecture, people and food. We all really enjoyed this tour and my students rated it among their top experiences during our stay. Andrea gave us some valuable tips for the rest of our stay and it was a perfect start to our five-day visit to Vienna.

We enjoyed a wonderful, informative, and entertaining tour of Vienna

We got to see and learn much more of Vienna than I had expected from a half-day walking tour, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Walter Schindl met us at our hotel, introduced us to Vienna's excellent public transportation system, and from our first stop at the Belvedere down to the conclusion in the Old Town center he was a constant source of lively and informative conversation about Vienna and Austria and every thing we passed along the way. I had asked for assistance in locating a music store where I might be able to purchase a traditional high-quality metronome as a souvenir of our visit to Vienna, and Walter had located one right along the path of our guided walk, so that I was able to accomplish that objective in one very brief stop. We also wanted to attend a musical performance, and Walter gave us good and candid advice about our options during the short time we were in Vienna. It was an excellent experience, and I would happily recommend Walter Schindl to any visitor to Vienna.
