Take a guided tour of the legendary castle and learn more about the Grand Duchy of Lithuania during its golden age. Your private tour will start from Vilnius, where you and your group will first head to the open-air museum in Rumsiskes, a Lithuanian country-life museum with open-air expositions. Here you can explore dwelling houses and economic buildings, from different regions in Lithuania.  After lunch, the tour continues to Kaunas, the second largest town in Lithuania, and the temporal capital of the country between the first and second world wars. The oldest part of Kaunas city is the Old Town, located to the east where the Nemunas and Neris rivers join. During the tour, you will visit most of the sites in the Old Town, including Kaunas Castle, St. George Church, Town Hall Square, the Jewish Quarter, and the Cathedral.  The tour will finish at Pazaislis Monastery -a unique baroque monument, considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of mature baroque in Northern and Eastern Europe, and distinguished by the quality of its art.

Discover the main objects of Vilnius city, such as: The Classic Town Hall, the  bohemian Uzupis district (visiting the Angel of freedom, the Constitution), the Gothic St.Anne's Church and its famous Gothic ensemble, the magnificent Cathedral Square, old Vilnius University, and baroque masterpieces of the 17th century - Church of St. Peter and St. Paul.  The second part of the tour is dedicated to the Trakai district. There you'll have free time for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can try traditional Karaites dishes like 'kibinai' (pastries filled with mutton and onion). The excursion continues to Trakai Castle, which was a cradle of the Lithuanian statehood, an important military and political center, headquarters of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes, and the capital of Lithuania.  At the end of the tour, you'll drive back to Vilnius and be dropped off at your hotel around 16:00.

Alternatively, go to the Devil’s Museum (Žmuidzinavičius Museum) to see an amusing collection of carved devils from around the world. You will also visit the 16th-century Pažaislis Monastery to learn about its troubled history. The largest monastery complex in Lithuania, the glorious Italianate Baroque building has variously been commandeered as an Orthodox church, psychiatric hospital, archive, and art gallery. Today it is the city’s Centre of Culture, and due to its perfect acoustics hosts many concerts, especially during the annual Pažaislis Music Festival, held over 3 months in the summer.
