Lovely excursion. It's worth it even if it's not cheap. We took the boat at the pier next to the train station. 55-minute cruise to Vitznau. Going down there is the rack railway that goes up to the Rigi Klum at 2000 meters. Up there you can see the 13 lakes of Central Switzerland if it is clear and from there the views are incredible. You can either go back or do a bit of hiking to the Rigi Klamt stop where a cable car leaves for Weiss and then a boat back to Lucerne. Or directly again the rack railway to the last stop Vitznau where you take the cruise that takes you to Lucerne on the lake of the four cantons. Minimum 6 hours to do everything and more if you want to hike in summer or autumn

Lucerne is beautiful but getting the boat, then rail is so easy to get to the top of Rigi and it's well worth it for the views and fresh mountain air. We walked back down to the cable car and you do feel closer to the mountain doing that.

We enjoyed very much..no words can express how we appreciate and get amazed with the beauty of the nature in Switzerland

Whole experience was amazing and this combo ticket made it easy.

We enjoyed the views and the excellent food and service!
