We booked this Food Experience at short notice and were surprised that we were the only participants. Tye and Shawn were excellent guides and shared interesting stories about the history and culture of this diverse neighbourhood. Most importantly, we felt very safe, especially as it's not recommended to see this place on your own. We visited four different restaurants, representing food from Ethiopia, South Africa, Ghana and Cameroon. The food was really tasty although we're not used to eating with our fingers. We can highly recommend this tour which stands out from the "normal" walking tours in Joburg!

Very interesting visit to Yeoville, a vibrant immigrant neighborhood, sadly neglected by the government, which tourists rarely explore. We sampled 4 super informal restaurants each representing a different African cuisine. Food was tasty, ambiance fun, experience not sugar-coated. The guide was informative and considerate. Worthwhile experience!

It was a great experience to see the culture of so many different African countries. Our guide Joe is local in this district and in his company we still felt safe. The food was delicious (a tip: don't eat too much before). If you book this trip you have to know, in this area of Johannesburg, poverty is on the agenda.

Best tour ever! Joe, my tour guide really took his time to explain the history of Johannesburg and especially Yeoville to me. I experienced the cuisine of Pan-Africa and it was amazing and authentic. Money well spent, I've learned so much! Thank you Joe, my friend, I will keep this experience close to my heart.

One of the best and most authentic food tours we have experienced. We booked last minute as our flight did not leave until late night. So glad we did. Do not despair on the location, It is part of the experience. We were completely safe, ate a variety of great food and experienced life in Jozi
