Full description
Enjoy a combined full-day coach tour to see the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Xi’an, and learn about Chinese history at the Banpo Museum. Traveling by air-conditioned coach, get collected from your downtown city center hotel for the drive east. Make the first stop at the Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of the Qin dynasty. Discover how when he ascended to the throne at the tender age of 13, he ordered 720,000 conscript laborers to build him a royal tomb. It took about 38 years to finish and was so magnificent that it set a precedent for future feudal rulers. Little compares to his army of Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Wander the gallery to marvel at some 8,000 life-size sculptures of men and horses of the Emperor’s funerary art. Amazingly, each one has unique features. One of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th century, once you’ve got your breath back, you can buy your own imitation warrior at the gift shop. Next, immerse yourself in Chinese history at the Banpo Museum and see artifacts excavated from the prehistoric Banpo village. Built at the base of the archaeological site, the museum also features several reconstructed houses designed to resemble the Neolithic settlement. Alternatively, if you would like to visit only the Terracotta Warriors, please select the correct option upon check out; for this option, you will be transferred back to the pickup place after the visit to the Terracotta Warriors and lunch.

Small group, comfortable transport, helpful english speaking guide picked up from our hotel, she was happy to answer all our many questions about the places we visited and about China in general, which was good. We visited the factory where they make the replica warriors and get a chance to see how they make them, take pictures pretending to be them and can get souvenirs although probably cheaper other places but interesting. (Prior warning) visiting the actual warriors no matter how you get there, is extremely busy with chinese tourists pushing to take pictures. Our guide pointed out the place at that time best to get some good views/ pics and good background about the site. Bampo museum of 6000 year old village site is not as well kept as other tourist sites, skeletons and excavations were interesting for us but wouldn't necessarily call it a proper museum. Would recommend this tour

Amazing

It was everything as expected. Our Tour group was small only 5 people and Nobel was a great guy. The place does not have many English slides to Nobel was kind enough to translate and provide info to us about it. I never felt rush at the pit and had plenty of time at each one. I also stop and got a terracotta army man as well too. Lunch was good. The only downside was the Banpo place, but all I wanted to see was the Terracotta so no downside. 10/10

The tour guide Tina and the attractions were very good and worth the visit. Tina did an excellent job of giving a thorough background as well as exposing the different sections and what we were looking at. Lunch location and selection of food was also really good. The length of the tour can be significantly reduced by cutting out the factory visits, while they may be interesting for some; they are really shopping stops. While it is common is Asia, it is not a welcomed addition to my tour and valuable time. A good reminder of why I rarely take these group tours.
