Benefit from pick-up from your hotel and travel to the train station in Zürich. Take an intercity train to within two hours of south-Switzerland, where you will change to the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn and arrive in Zermatt. Visit the historical village and walk along the small streets, where you will learn about the history of the Monte Rosa Hotel. Choose whether to have lunch in Zermatt or to board the cogwheel train to Gornergrat. Experience breathtaking aerial views as the train climbs to up to 2800 meters above sea level. Arrive at a viewing point, where you will enjoy panoramic views of the Matterhorn and the glaciers. Relax and enjoy your surroundings as you sit on the terrace. Return to Zermatt by train and explore the local museum. Board the train to Visp and change to the intercity train, which will take you back to Zürich where the tour will end.
